Sports Venues is very proud of the team of professionals we have assembled to insure a construction project the magnitude we are planning can be accomplished from raw ground to turn key at or under budget.
Our CEO, John V. Whitman Jr., developed a 212 lot waterfrount luxury residential community at the age of 19. Since then he has built shopping centers, medical treatment centers and miscellaneous commerical properties. The team we have assembled include two general contractors who's combined experiences total well over $1Billion worth of ground up construction projects.
Our sports complexes will range from $75 million to $150 million. Not that any construction project is easy but by comparison to our combined experiences, they will be childs play.
Our team has the experiences, the licenses and the determination to accomplish the company's mission quickly and at or under budget.
Our lead general contractor and advisory member has been working in the construction industry since he was a teenager. After college, he worked in the apartment management industry and was drawn to the construction side of the business as his true passion became clear to him. He owns a large construction company that currently builds multi-million dollar apartment complexes and in addition owns a very large commercial landscape company.
He obtained both his BS in Agriculture (‘92) as well as his MBA (‘08) from the University of Florida. He is a state-certified General Contractor as well as a state-certified Plumbing Contractor. Like his grandfather, his favorite project is the always the next one.
He serves on the Resurrection Catholic School Board where his children attend school and volunteers as a coach and serves as Treasurer on the board at South Lakeland Baseball at Loyce-Harpe Park in South Lakeland.
One of our advisory members is the past President of the Florida Home Builders Association and is currently 1st vice chairman of the National Home Builders Association. The National Home Builders Association is a Federation of more than 700 state and local associations, NAHB represents more than 140,000 members. About one-third are home builders and remodelers. The rest work in closely related specialties such as sales and marketing, housing finance, and manufacturing and supplying building materials.
AHB is member-driven, with more than 1,700 members serving on the association’s Leadership Council, which elects the Senior Officers and helps set the association’s agenda.
No Construction Project is to big for our team to handle
